Welcome to Hamilton Meadows

Hamilton Meadows Longhorns is a family farm located near the historic square of Granbury, Texas. Although the location is relatively new, the legacy of Hamilton Meadows and the Flying-H brand began with Registered Angus cattle over 80 years ago in a different time and a different place. Art and Ruby Hamilton, along with their sons Kelly and Hal, started the story of Hamilton Meadows and now many of the third, fourth and fifth generations make their home near Granbury. Shawn and Andie Hamilton grew up on beef and dairy operations respectively, and are now focusing their attention on horns and color. College sweethearts in the 1980's, the Hamiltons competed on their Collegiate Livestock Judging Team. They find it exciting and challenging to add the traits of horns and color into the process of selecting for confirmation, fertility, good udders and structural soundness. While they are having a great time with their Longhorn hobby making new friends and creating new partnerships, Shawn and Andie's greatest joy has and will always be their family. Feeling blessed to have their two grown children living nearby, a whole new world of joy has been added with the arrival of grandchildren. Since the founding of Hamilton Meadows, the fifth generation is now on the ground and running. These are exciting times! This is your open invitation for a visit to Hamilton Meadows.
